ST. PETERSBURG, Oct 22 (PRIME) -- Russia’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth will speed up in October–December meaning no risks of the GDP ending the year below the forecasted figure of 1.8% in 2018, Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin told reporters on Monday.
“Generally, we expect dynamics to improve in the upcoming months, and we will reach the figures that we forecasted,” he said, adding that there was no critical deviation from the 1.8% GDP growth forecast.
Ministry data previously showed Russia’s GDP increasing 1.6% in January–September, with the July–September growth slowing down to 1.3% from 1.9% in April–June.
